Ranch Dressing that is only 45 calories of protein!

Most people love fatty dressings on salads and other healthy foods, but by just using 3 table spoons of a normal dressing such as ranch it will add 222 calories of fat to whatever you are adding it to.  It’s 222 per serving and 210 of those calories are from fat!  Yes I agree, it is very delicious and really makes salads, veggies and other foods taste much better.  But 222 calories of fat in just 3 table spoons is terrible!!  Don’t you agree?  So for this reason I have come up with a way to not only make the same 3 table spoons just 45 calories, but also to make most of those calories protein instead of fat.  Let me give you the recipe here and you can change things to your liking such as adding more seasoning or you can thin or thicken it however you’d like just by adding in more cottage cheese or more milk to thin it out.

1/4 cup low fat 2% cottage cheese

1/4 cup light sour cream

1/4 cup Greek high protein plain yogurt

1/2 of the packet of the ranch seasoning and you choose the flavors like ranch, harvest dill or fiesta ranch and add to taste

a splash of milk to make it less thick(add to your likeness of thickness)

You could just use the cottage cheese and the light sour cream if you don’t have the yogurt on hand and it’ll still taste about the same.  If you do it this way then use about 1/2 cup cottage cheese and 1/4 cup of  light sour cream.  In fact that is the way I use to make it until I discovered that awesome high protein yogurt at Costco.

If you would like to see if people really notice your homemade 45 calorie protein ranch then I suggest you make it and put it into an empty ranch bottle then see who can notice.   Hope you enjoy it as much as I do.  I really love the new Harvest Dill flavor the best.
